Watching: How long will this credit repair take?

Welcome to CreditCoach. You're not the first person to experience a lifestyle transition that led to credit setbacks. The good thing is that by retaining a law firm, you're doing something about it.

You may not have known it, but there's a conversation going on out there in the credit world, and not too long ago, you were out of the loop. But now, with Lexington Law Firm, you've joined the conversation.

Here's how that credit conversation goes:

Your creditors talk about you to the credit bureaus. The credit bureaus talk about you to the credit scoring companies. The credit scoring companies talk about you to the banks and the banks tell you what you can borrow and what it'll cost you. Round and round that conversation goes – all about you – but never including you.

Then you found Lexington Law Firm and you staked your claim squarely in the middle of the credit conversation. Now, through our firm, your side of the conversation will be heard.

Now that you're taking action to control your credit situation, you're probably wondering how long this process will take.

Of course, nobody can guarantee the outcome or the timeframe of any particular case. So, let's take a look at the inner-workings of a typical case so that you can get a feel for what we'll be doing at each step.

We'll divide your year as a client into four three-month phases, and each phase will emphasize a particular phase of your credit repair case.

Over the first three month phase of your time as a client, we'll discover what we're up against. We'll appeal to your creditor's good will and see which are willing to cooperate.

If you're like most clients, you'll probably see that this approach yields great results with the average client seeing more than twenty-five percent of their questionable listings removed by the end of month three.

During your second three month phase as a client, we'll focus on the lesser known, very important, factors that impact your credit score.

Removing questionable negatives is the backbone of a credit repair effort, but there are other factors besides negatives that impact your credit score just as much. Your debt ratios, your mix of credit, your credit inquiries and your family budget will all play a significant role in overhauling your credit score.

Of course, we continue to chip away at the questionable negatives during the second phase and the average client sees forty-two percent of their negatives removed by the end of month six.

By your third phase with us, we will have identified which credit listings are the toughest. And that's exactly the right time to employ some “obstacle busters” – which are personalized strategies designed to break through credit bureau stalls and creditor resistance. The third cycle will typically see us amping up the pressure a notch or two .

While we don't risk alienating cooperative creditors with these stringent methods right from the beginning, the third quarter is the right time to turn up the heat. Average clients have seen strong results from this effort with sixty-six percent of their questionable negatives removed by month nine.

During the fourth phase, we wheel out the big guns. These confrontational strategies demand that all parties respect your legal rights in accordance with the law. By this point in time, we'll know which creditors and bureaus aren't acting in good faith and we can hit them with our most aggressive strategies yet.

In this phase, we'll strive to make every action count to give you the best possible credit outcome. The good news: after one year our average participating client will have seen just under eighty-five percent of their negatives removed and their case could well be winding down.

Remember; stay active in your case. Don't make your attorneys wait for credit reports or other documentation that the bureaus or creditors may send to your home. The Lexington team will do almost all the work, but they'll need you to keep the correspondence coming in.

I'm Gavin, the CreditCoach, and remember: Together, we can do this.
