In the 10 years I have been an attorney with Lexington Law, I have fielded many questions from our new clients. One of the most common questions that our new clients have is: “As a client, how can I help the credit repair process?”
While we welcome you to put your trust in our firm, here are five things that will allow for you to have a much smoother repair process:
1. Provide your credit reports as soon as possible.
The first and foremost thing that you can do to help your credit repair process is to either help Lexington Law get your Equifax, Experian and Trans Union credit reports, or in the alternative, provide your Equifax, Experian and Trans Union credit reports to Lexington Law as soon as possible. The professional staff at Lexington Law needs your credit reports so that we can assess the condition of your credit reports in order to give you professional guidance regarding how to repair your credit. Also, Lexington Law needs to upload your credit reports to our client website so you can provide Lexington Law with direction regarding the items you would like to challenge with Equifax, Experian and Trans Union or your creditors.
2. Advise Lexington Law what items you would like us to challenge.
The second thing you must do is very much related to the first, you must use Lexington Law’s client website in order to advise Lexington Law what items you would like us to challenge and in what order you would like the items challenged in. Without this information, Lexington Law cannot provide the best service to you, its client.
3. Make sure Lexington Law Firm has your current contact information.
The third thing that you can do to help your credit repair process is to make sure Lexington Law Firm has your current contact information. During your time as a client with Lexington Law, paralegals and/or attorneys may need to contact you to discuss your case. We cannot maintain needed, meaningful contact with you if you do not keep us updated with your current telephone number, e-mail address and physical address.
4. Remember that the credit repair process takes time.
The fourth thing that you can do to help your credit repair process is to remember that the credit repair process takes time. The repair of your credit report is generally something that does not happen overnight. In our experience we have found that it takes and average of 12 months to see removal of approximately 84% of questionable items from credit reports from our clients who are participating in our Concord level services. In other words, it takes time to fix some of these problems.
5. Follow the advice of Lexington Law during the credit repair process.
The Fifth and final thing that you can do to help your credit repair process is to follow the advice of Lexington Law during the credit repair process. Lexington Law has had 20+ years worth of experience helping its clients remove questionable items from their credit reports. Lexington Law’s advice is based upon the professional knowledge and expertise of it attorney’s and staff. Our advice is designed to move the process along in a deliberate and meaningful way.
